  1. Yes i will :)…. This should answer some of your teaching questions thoughhttps://travelwithk8.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/faqs-teaching-english-in-thailand/

  2. Yes you do!.. This should answer some of those questions :)https://travelwithk8.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/faqs-teaching-english-in-thailand/

  3. HAHA YES! I love those odd end jobs… Reeeally want to work at a ski resort too. Props to you for all that you’ve done. Thanks for sharing this.

  4. It was $92 lol I flew home for $92 – I must have hit the jackpot if you paid $500 in taxes. I hope your comment was based on facts and you didn’t just say that because you’re one of those non-believers who make up non-believer things from things they “hear” and not from things they’ve personally experiencesd.

  5. Oh noo! What work are you looking for? And what city are you in? Hospitality jobs are pretty easy to come by if you have experience. And where are you? If I were you I’d try to get a job at the hostel so my rent was free … or try to live on someones couch on couchsurfer.com so you can buy yourself some more time to look for work.

  6. Haha I’m never in anywhere long enough for stable roommates! I’m in NY now but leaving soon. Good luck to you KIT!

  7. And it all started from a feeling in your heart that you need to see a sunset in fiji .. I just got the chills :) Well said.. Everything you said – thanks for that.

  8. Build your credit! Save your money. Focus on what you want. Stop doing everything that’s setting you back. Research how you are going to get what you want. Put in in terms so it can be real for your life. And then do that! Anything is possible. Even for someone with shit credit and no degree. :)

  9. You almost had me thinking you were happy with your career. I was about to say, “right on, I’m glad you pursued your dreams and it worked out.” But then you yelled at me without knowing me and put words in my mouth that I never said – so you can’t be fully happy – people who are happy don’t do that. Thanks for stopping by.

  10. FREE Companion? On that :) I hope you two are having the best time… Get to Thailand.. it is just.. no words. That’s what it is :)

  11. This is my story. I shared what worked for me and you have your own and so does the next. I waitressed in Australia. I know people who made more than me and I know people who made less than me. Everyone’s experience is different. I know that. I lived in an 18 bed dorm room. $150 a week. Then I got a job at the hostel and I lived for free. Just because you don’t know people who haven’t done something doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there that have. While I can sometimes be unrealistic – this is realistic – I lived it.

  12. You’re right it is. Also, don’t take things too out of context here. Lucky in a way where you can make a difference in the world. Lucky in a way where you can read this, you can comment, you can say whatever it is you want to say. Lucky in a way where you realize you may not be the most fortunate person in this world but you are also not the least fortunate and you can do something about it.

  13. I want to backpack Europe so bad! Saving for that now! So jealous. And my little brother is in law school now. That is no joke! Congratulations for ever getting through that :)

  14. I honestly just walked around with my resume and found a waitressing job. You’re right it is different for everyone. I wish you the best of luck – keep your spirits high :)

  15. yes! most importantly thing I’ve learned is not how different we all are but how similar we all are. p.s jealous of your career:)

  16. I look for what I can offer that they need. Thailand needs teachers. In Australia restaurants were hiring, so I did that :)

  17. Well start getting some experience or else you’ll be unexperienced for the rest of your life! DO ANYTHING> GET ANY JOB> Just start :)

  18. There are traveling families — I follow some of there blogs! p.s I’m not in credit debit. I always pay them off before I need to… I am however in student loan debt lol

  19. Really like this blog- a real example of how sometimes having the bravery to do something unknown can work out. Here’s to 2015 and beyond, and the hope that things work out for people like me who are wonder if spending money on travelling is a good idea for them because of the employment situation when they return home.
You’ve received so many comments which is great. A thought that people aren’t always supportive of an idea, and this can fuel fears that a person has. But that every lifestyle choice has it’s positives and negatives.
